Ignacio Escuín: Photographer’s Statement

My beginnings in the world of photography occurred in the 1980s with analog photography. In 2010, I took up photography again but this time exploring digital formats. I have dedicated myself to urban style photos and photos of my hometown, San Fernando, on the southern coast of Spain. In 2012, I began my journey into flamenco photography and that interest has grown to include photographs of landscapes and vistas of this Spanish island. I am a founding member of the Isla de León Photographic Association which was established in 2014 to fill a gap that had remained empty since the disappearance of Island Photographic Association.
